Overstated Foreclosure Fees

Kemp v. Aronowitz & Mecklenburg

A class of 33,000 individuals filed a lawsuit against a law firm alleging that defendants overstated foreclosure proceedings fees.  Mr. Pohl worked with class counsel to develop a notice program, claims process, and benefit disbursement that accounted for the two subclasses. The parties settled the case based on the program drafted by Mr. Pohl, who later oversaw the administration of the $1.1 million settlement.
