Brandewie v. Wal-Mart Stores Class Action Litigation

A class of customers filed a lawsuit against a retail store alleging that its refund policy and other state laws were violated when consumers returned an item to a store with lower sales tax rates than the store where the item was purchased.  Mr. Pohl was retained as plaintiff’s damage expert.  Mr. Pohl developed a methodology using the retail store’s data to determine the amount of under refund.  The parties reached settlement in the case a month after Mr. Pohl's report was issued.
